Emphasize on the authenticity of the item :
Honesty and thoroughness when writing the listing will help to convince the buyer of the authenticity of the item. Illustrating the listing with numerous pictures will catch the eye of the buyer. The pictures should be clear and highlight the brand and condition of the item.
For luxury items, it is essential to prove their authenticity through pictures by focusing on the seams, zippers, brand labels and logo, buttons, certificate, invoice and original box.
Please note :
If a listing is flagged as not complying with Clozen's sales policy and the authenticity of the item is not proven, we will be forced to take restrictive measures or even remove the listing in question.
If the community member does not rewrite the listing properly, their account may be blocked.
How to succeed with your pictures ?
- Make sure the item is not wrinkled, folded and presented on a neutral background ;
- To apply a white background to your pictures (except for the pictures of the item being worn), we advise you to download the PhotoRoom application ;
- Choose a spot with good lighting ;
- Make sure that the pictures are sharp and avoid any superfluous additions (photo filter, comment written on the picture, etc.) ;
- For the main picture, we recommend that you take a picture of the item being worn ;
- The second picture should show the whole item ;
- Then photograph the item from several angles, focusing on the details that prove the authenticity of the brand, but also highlighting any defects.
Putting a complete and appealing listing online :
After having precisely selected the category corresponding to the item (women, shoes, sneakers...), it is requested to illustrate the item with at least 3 additional pictures of elements such as:
For clothing:
- The label with the brand name ;
- The label specifying the size, care instructions, etc. ;
- The brand logo ;
- Details such as pockets, openings (zips, buttons...) ;
- Printed or embroidered patterns ;
- If possible, a picture of the receipt, the invoice, the certificate.
For shoes:
- Close-up of the external and internal condition of the shoe, but also the condition of the sole ;
- Close-up of the size, even the tongue if it is a pair of trainers as they often indicate the exact size (43½ EU, 11 US...) ;
- The seams (for some manufacturers, this can prove the authenticity of the product and indicate a counterfeit if the sole is glued) ;
- The packaging, the original box, indicating the brand or the name of the shop where the pair was bought ;
- If possible, a picture of the receipt, the invoice, the certificate.
Handbags and similar items:
- Pictures of the item as a whole, from different sides ;
- The brand logo, if it appears on the item (sometimes on a buckle, a button…) ;
- The seams (as with shoes, for some manufacturers this can prove the authenticity of the product and indicate a counterfeit if the logo is glued on or looks like the original but with a difference) ;
- The packaging, the original box, the pouch ;
- Serial number, certificate of authentication for luxury items ;
- If possible, a picture of the receipt or invoice ;
- For wallets and bags, the number of compartments and storage space should be clearly highlighted.
For accessories (jewellery, watches, scarves, shawls, belts, etc.):
- The case, the box, the pouch ;
- The brand logo, if it appears on the item ;
- The belt buckle ;
- Serial number, certificate of authentication for luxury items and jewellery ;
- Label with care instructions ;
- The stamp if it is a gold, silver or platinum jewel ;
- The size of the ring, which is often shown on the inside of the ring ;
- If possible, a picture of the receipt or invoice.
For beauty products, perfumes, make-up:
- The complete packaging ;
- The label including the composition, the quantity, the shade number, the batch number, the expiry date... ;
- For make-up, a close-up of the shade, the tint, etc. ;
- If possible, a picture of the receipt or invoice.
Clozen points out that it is forbidden to sell a cosmetic product that has been opened or even tried on. Make-up containers such as eye shadow, for example, can be opened only for the picture in order to have a visual idea of the shades, but the contents must never have been used.
